All our windows are "Tilt-Turn-Vent" (minimum size required). All windows open towards you rather than away from you as many older conventional windows do. This allows you to keep your house secure while ventilating the room if the need arises and is convenient for a number of reasons as:

d) keeping windows open during rain (Tilt mode)
